On the 7th of May the "Parisienne"
Antoine Vandeputtedid the second repeat of
Tonino ‘78, the first
8C+ boulder in the world (first ascent
Mauro Calibani, second ascent
Julien Nadiras).
Antoine came to Italy with Julien Nadiras after asking permission to the land owner in order to try the boulder, given that Tonino '78 is on a private property, and it is forbidden to climb freerly.
Antoine and Julien are not new to Meschia, and in one of their previous visits (September 2004) Julien did the the first repeat of Tonino '78 and Antonie (only 19) did the second half of Tonino '78, called
Leonardoa solid 8B+.
